At first you are contacted by a management member for a phone interview. If they would like to move forward after the phone interview you will be scheduled with a 1:1 interview with a dept lead/manager. If both phone interview, 1:1, and a background check are successful you will interview with the Store Manager or "lead" as they say in the JCP world.

It was lengthy, had to interview with the operations manager, beauty manager, field education manager, and someone else and took about 3 weeks from start to finish. Its very important to ask questions at the end to show interest. My favorite is 'what would be the best quality for me to excel in the position?'

I first had to go through a group interview which was held by the stores general manager. after this I was moved on to a one on one interview with the store manager. I was then given a 3rd interview with the field manager of the sephora inside of jcpenny for our region. Next i was given a 4th interview with the education manager for our region. After 4 interviews and three weeks of waiting I was finally hired on.

I had two interviews, the first one with the store leader and the second with the general manager. Both of them were very kind. The process was very quick.
