Phone screen then panel interview, then I was given a "practise" assignment to demonstrate my skills. This involved building a complete project schedule based upon a small dataset, documenting ALL my assumptions and additions, and then providing several revisions to the base schedule in response to several different scenarios. This was a CONSIDERABLE amount of work, mostly the drudgery of data entry and not reflective of high-level Project Management skills. Another panel interview, during which the various versions of my schedule were discussed, the a very long series of filling in paperwork, transcribing my resume into a form/format that was obviously aimed at uploading into their HR system, organising reference checks, a few hints about possible salary and start date, then..... "Sorry we are no longer interested in you." They didn't even bother contacting my references. Bottom line: I have never worked so long or so hard just to be given a such a curt dismissal.
