Within a couple of days of the closing date I had a screening phone call and a 30 min telephone interview and then was asked to attend an interview with 4 days notice. The interview required me to prepare a 10 minute presentation. I attended the interview which lasted for 1hr 30mins and comprised of the presentation and competency based questions. I was told I would be advised of the outcome within a week however a week passed and nothing. I chased up recruitment and they said they usually take 14 days, so I waited another week and still nothing. I emailed them again and the hiring manager and still nothing. To this day (5 weeks later) they have still not had the decency to let me know the outcome of the interview which is an appalling way to treat a candidate that has given up their time and taken a day off work to attend an interview at relatively short notice. I'm glad that they didn't offer me the job if that's how they treat people, I think I had a lucky escape.
