      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto una settimana. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso JW Maxx Solutions (Scottsdale, AZ) nel mese di nov 2013

      Colloquio

It's important to note that the ad I answered only described the responsibilities and qualifications for the position but did not include any company info. It's also important to note that when I was contacted to set up an interview the woman seemed surprised and almost offended when I asked what company she was with, even though she hadn't identified herself yet. When I showed up for the interview I was asked to wait in the lobby which is shared by multiple companies. I was greeted by the girl I'd spoken to on the phone and told that owner would be joining us in a few minutes. In the meantime we moved to a corner of the lobby where she offered me a seat and proceeded to stand over me while telling me, very casually (F-bombs and all) how overwhelmed she was in her position which is why they were hiring. I was definitely thrown off by the lack of professionalism - not only was she talking down at me literally, but she was swearing as well. I'm all for a casual work environment but I also appreciate a mutual attempt at making a decent first impression. After another 10-15 minutes the owner came out and moved us to the center of the lobby. He glanced at my resume and out of the blue asks me about a job/position that A) has nothing to do with his company or industry, B) has nothing to do with the position I was applying for, and C) is nowhere on my resume because it's a position I've never held. I thought it was a joke and maybe waited just a little too long for the punch line before I realized he was being serious. As I explained my experience, he pretended to look at my resume/writing samples again, reaches out to shake my hand and says "Well we have a lot of other people to interview. This is a good number for you?" as he points at my contact info. And that was it. To say I left in disbelief would be an understatement. Was it necessary for me to physically be there to witness his disinterest? Wouldn't it have been easier to just read my resume and qualifications before inviting me in for an interview? I can't imagine that it was any less a waste of time for them than it was for me. I find it incredibly ironic that an "online reputation management" company would be so blatantly rude and inconsiderate.

      Domanda 1

So, you were a *insert completely random position that you've never held* ?
