I recently applied and was invited for an interview for the HR Business Partner position. The first interview went very well — I received positive feedback and was informed that I was moving to the next stage. I was even told who would be present in the second round and that I would receive a task to prepare and present.
Due to justified personal reasons, I informed the recruiter that I could not attend the second round in live, but I was fully willing to take sick leave from work if no online alternative could be arranged. I was assured I would be contacted in about 10 days.
After 12 days of silence, I followed up via email to check the status of the process, but received no response. Then, after 21 days, I received a generic, automated rejection email stating that I was not selected for the position — with wording that made it seem as if I had never even been interviewed.
This experience was disappointing. As someone who took the process seriously, showed flexibility, and made it to the later stages, I expected at least a personal response or feedback. The lack of follow-up and the impersonal communication left a very unprofessional impression.
Tip for future candidates:
Be prepared for a possibly disorganized process and inconsistent communication. Don’t assume that being told you’re moving forward guarantees timely updates or closure.

Eerst telefonisch contact contact gehad, hierin kon al enige ervaring en motivatie werden toegelicht. Daarna werd een persoonlijkheidsassessment en intelligentietest uitgestuurd. Vervolgens had ik een 1e gesprek waarin die resultaten werden besproken, met daaropvolgend een 2e gesprek en een arbeidsvoorwaardenvoorstel.

Detailed phone interview with someone from Talent Acquisition team. Two days after the phone interview, was invited to go in for an in-person interview. Most of the communication done via email.
