A recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn. I had a positive initial call with the recruiter and we discussed next steps. Then the next day I received a rejection email giving me feedback for declining based on a take home assignment I had never completed or been sent. I assumed the email was sent to me in error and asked the recruiter for clarification but never got a reply back.
