I had an interview scheduled with Jerry for a remote copywriting position. First, they rescheduled my interview only an hour before my original interview was scheduled. Then, when I arrived for the rescheduled interview (over google meet), the person interviewing me was about 15 minutes late. Despite my location being listed on my resume and in my original application, the only thing they asked me was where I was located. After I answered they told me they weren't hiring candidates in my state, and the interview ended. So, essentially a complete waste of time on my part, it didn't seem like the company respected my time at all.

First there was a video call with a member of Jerry's HR team. Then I completed an at-home assignment, which was to write a 700 word SEO blog including specific keywords. In the assignment email I was told the general expectation for turnaround time was 24 hours. This put me off, since this was an unpaid assignment. After submitting the blog, I got a rejection email later with no feedback. I suspect this is a content farming operation. Interview candidates, get them to write full articles, and then utilize that content down the road for free. Very shady practices.
