The initial phone screen went ok and was told I would be receiving a use case.
It all went downhill from there. I was provided the use case which consisted of a few hundred records of data and was told to "analyze" how the data was relative to each merchant of the three merchants provided? I turned around my analysis which I spent a week working on. I followed up after a few days asking for an update and was told that the analysis was "wrong" and that they will not be moving forward, without any explanation. Thought this was ironic given that during the phone screen I was told they really pride themselves on "transparency"
When I asked for more details on how it was "wrong" and what the expectations were, I was told they were looking for someone to "clean" the data.
Flew me out to SF, full day of interviews, multiple rounds, all one on one but they were interviewing lots of people that day. All recent grads from top 20 schools

Got an email from the HR. The HR actually forgot to call me on the day of interview and the interview was re-scheduled. Cleared the 1st round of phone screening. 2nd interview was scheduled with hiring manager - she portrayed that she liked my profile, experience and would like to meet. Was invited for in-person interview with 7 people on same day, of which 3 were not even related to the work and were taking interview because they were told to. Everyone asked the same questions. Looks like they were reading from a interview questionnaire. Some questions asked by not needed interviewers werent even relevant to the position. Hiring manager took the last round and tried to portray that I was the right fit and things would move forward and gave high hopes. After that, no communication for a month. When I emailed them insisting that since I had attended all the rounds of interview, I need to know what happened after that just to hear that you arent shortlisted. Why waste someone's time and a day when you arent interested giving false hope and why not give feedback to candidates who reach the final rounds (I am sure there are few of them who need feedback)
Talked to a recruiter who was very nice and helpful. Asked questions about what motivates me, challenges I have faced and how I dealt with them. Then had to do an evaluation test on an application, it had components on aptitude, team work and character.
