Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 2 mesi. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso JetBlue (New York, NY) nel mese di lug 2015

      Colloquio

The last time that I made it to a face to face interview with JetBlue was Oct 2013 even though I already got a job offer elsewhere and I didn't make it past the first round of cuts. That didn't stop me from applying however. I have probably applied 4 more times (you have to wait a year in between applications) but since I was determined, I applied every time the window was open. I applied July 29th this time around with some experience on my resume and a recommendation letter and hoped for the best. August 11th I was sent the link to complete a questionnaire within 5 days. I always get anxious with these things because other airline I have done it with I just couldn't seem to get it right. Apparently I did because I was then invited to do a video interview the next day. They also give you 5 days to complete this too. I gathered myself from my excitement and did the interview the next day. Now it can get a bit awkward talking to a computer screen. You have to know how to look at the camera, not yourself on the screen, be genuine with your answers and most importantly SMILE. I cannot stress that enough. God only knows how I made it through my very first time doing something like that, but I did and received an email August 26th inviting me to a Blue Review. I chose the date of September 18 in NYC. Blue Review was so different from the last time I came. It was held at a hotel instead of their headquarters in LIC, the lobby was filled with 150 candidates and everyone was given forms to fill out for fingerprinting. Remember to mingle with anyone you meet. I happened to have 2 pens that would run out of ink while I was filling out the paperwork so that became my way of breaking the ice with someone. The line wasn't too long for fingerprinting so I hopped on before anything started and mingled with someone while waiting to be called. After a few moments, the interview process began where we had to sign in, get our name tags and were given assigned rooms A, B, or C. Introductions by the recruitment staff and crewmembers were made and then they split us into groups of about 6 or 7 people each with a Crewmember assigned to monitor us while we do an activity to present. We also had that one question "Why JetBlue?" that we answered amongst our groups and the Crewmember gave us his reasons too. When answering that question, try to avoid saying you like people and travel, try to be unique with it, incorporating their values in there, what your experience was like with them or their reputation as an airline if that helps. What I will say about the group activity is everyone must participate and display you can work as a good team player. Now I came on Glassdoor to find out what the group activity would be like and it was completely different from what I thought it would be so mine and yours will be different. They monitor this stuff so of course they'd change it up :) . Back to the interview, every group made our presentations and then we were given a 15 minute break. When we got back to the room, we were shown a PowerPoint presentation on the company, a more in depth view of life as a Crewmember at JetBlue, the pay scales you have an option of choosing, and what to expect at training and on the line. We were then given a chance to ask any questions we might have and then we were released for a lunch break for an hour. Interviews started as soon as we got back. We weren't let back in the room this time and were in the reception area where the first gave us out name tags and where fingerprinting was being done. In the meantime, they had Crewmembers out with us coming to us individually to read a PA to them and mingling with you as well. While waiting to be seen if you didn't get your fingerprints done yet now was the time to stand in line. The actual interview is the with two people, a recruiter and a Crewmember, they go over your resume with you and ask about 3 or 4 questions. Be yourself, don't try too hard and don't worry about the eye contact because they're writing most of the time while you're replying to the question. You are also given the opportunity to ask any more questions you might have and then it's done. But you must also have a debrief, it's a little more relaxed than the interview but technically still an interview to get to know you a little more. I believe mine was with an inflight manager. You are definitely asked "Why JetBlue?" at the debrief. Once you are checked off for all four parts: the fingerprinting, PA reading, interview and debrief, (they do not have to be in that order) you are free to go home. I felt pretty confident and nervous leaving there because it sure was a lot of people there since they said they train a class of about 70 people. And they definitely had some Blue Reviews lined up for the next couple of days the next week. So I prayed and impatiently waited and on September 23rd, I got my phone call! Upon a successful background check, I will be starting training on Nov. 18th!

It's a video interview of a couple questions. You get multiple attempts to answer each question. If you are selected to advance on to the in person group interview where you must use your people skills to mingle & problem solve.

Amazing interview. Positive vibes. Hiring crew inspiring. Advice? Dress like you currently work for them all the way from hair to shoes. Be early. Do not take photos. Put your phones away unless they say you can bring them out.

Large group interview, I fell off the bus in a slim skirt going from LGA to JFK and was late. They welcomed me and the energy in the room position and empowering.
