The questions asked were simple; they wanted to discuss my job experience and how I thought what I had learned matched the position. However, the methodology felt somewhat weird and stiff. The recruiter seemed bored, and it appeared as if they were reading from a script. It felt as if I was talking to a machine, which definitely made my energy levels drop. They mentioned that they would use the answers to the questions in a video to show the clients. For that purpose, they turned off the camera and asked me to paraphrase the questions within my answers. This felt impersonal, and talking to a black screen was uncomfortable. Also, at the end, they made it clear that if you receive an offer, you are not allowed to have a side hustle or freelance job, as it could affect the relationship with the clients. I find this absurd. If I have a weekend job, it shouldn't interfere. Additionally, the salary they offer is not huge; it won't cover every little need. If sometimes I need a little extra, as long as I'm not neglecting my set tasks, it's none of their business what I do with my free time.
