Colloquio
Three-plus hours of interviews were held in a 12x12 windowless room on the first floor of the building. Met with the HR representative, hiring manager and a manager whom I would work with. First two interviews felt like an interrogation, with questions about whom I knew at certain companies/organizations, why I left certain jobs, etc., as opposed to a skill or personality-based interview/discussion. HR representative walked through each career experience on my resume dating back more than 20 years ago. The level of enthusiasm for the company was very low; indicated a lot of change was taking place.

Standard recruiter questions and no feedback provided. After that, I received an automatic email from 3am on a Saturday saying that I'm no longer part of the process. Very cold and unprofessional in my opinion. It seems they used AI to give the answer.

They reached out to me via LinkedIn to inquire about my interest in an APAC role. I expressed my interest, and from there, we proceeded with the standard application process of interviews.

The Hiring Manager/VP's lack of professionalism is evident in the initial intent to offer the role, only to abruptly withdraw the offer and raise unfounded integrity concerns. This stands in stark contrast to the unanimous endorsement of the hiring by all interviewers and the company President. The offer was ultimately rescinded to favor the Hiring Manager/VP's non-Singaporean friend, despite their lack of relevant experience for the position.
