The entire process from start to finish was disorganized and mismanaged. I was ghosted on two interviews, and two others were over an hour late when I had other meetings with my employer at the time. Communication with the recruiter was not very good, and several times I had to email to confirm dates/times and it took several days for the company to get back to me after rushing an initial response from me. I gave a summary on my current research, and apparently someone forgot to hit “mute” on the Zoom call, because there were some very audible rude comments. I maintained my composure and finished the presentation. At the wrap-up, I had already decided this was not a place I wanted to be and let the recruiter know what had happened. The recruiter’s chin dropped and I let it go at that.

The entire interview process took a month (screening phone call with HR, coffee meeting with the hiring manager and the team, onsite interview and offer). HR knew that I was interviewing elsewhere and worked quickly to organize the onsite and make an offer. Everyone was friendly and multiple interviewers reached out to me after the interview in case I had additional questions. Overall, everything was organized well and it was a very good experience.
