It was a long process, it took me more than a month, I receive 1 video call with HR, Hr was nice and the environment was great, then I had another interview with some tech leads to evaluate if I was fit for the job, both guys interview me in a very friendly manner and asked several personal and technical questions, they both concluded I was fit for the job.
So the company sent an assignment that took me a whole week to complete, I even added several extra functionalities just to impress, after that they invite me to the last meeting that was meant to validate decisions taken in the assignment and make a couple of extra questions and that were things went wrong.
The interviewers were 2 young devs with only a year on the company, hear me out on this "a pandemic year on the company".
The girl was good and had clearly review my code, she actually made all valid questions. Kudos to her
But the male interviewer, this guy had a negative answer from the start, he quickly jump out of backend java developer questions and went on with high architectural questions, completely out of the scope of the posititon, he state that their tech assignment was easy and anyonce could do it in a way that he made it sound like it was my fault and then told me that not everybody can jump on board (stating that I was everybody) I found it completely disrespectful.
After that, 15 minuts later I received a mail saying that I wasn't fit for the role, I mean, after a process that long, two younger devs with only a year in the company has the lifechanging decision of hiring with no call recording, no feedback, no HR personal on the call.
Based on that interview, I'm glad they didn't hire me, I definetively don't think they are the kind of company I'd like to work with.
