Applied online and had an initial phone screening with a recruiter. In the next step, I was asked to complete a 90-minute situational assignment. The following week I was invited in for 2-hour Zoom interview with some of the leaders and other team members and was asked me to have the completed assignment handy. I was surprised that during the interview they asked how ‘I thought’ I did without any feedback from them—I don’t think they reviewed it. That was disappointing. I was then asked a series of situational questions but then there wasn’t enough time for me to ask my own questions This person was expected to provide key support to multiple senior leaders but then actually reporting to a lower-level team. Why wouldn’t this person just report to the senior leaders? They have a wonderful mission, everyone seemed friendly but the structuring for the position seemed off. The pay was significantly low for the position's support level and number of additional members expected to support. The time-consuming assessment seemed unnecessary, especially since it wasn’t actually reviewed by them which in total really drew me away from being once excited about this position.
