I interviewed with the Chief Operations Officer. It was an okay interview. For a new Series A startup, she didn’t share much about their strategy or vision for growth, which could make a candidate uneasy, especially in this economy, but that’s often the nature of startups.
She didn’t ask many questions about my work history, which made me think they may have been more focused on finding a personality fit, which is common in startup environments. I mentioned that I wasn’t very familiar with micro schools and had to do some research beforehand. She said that was common but didn’t offer any additional insight into what they do or how they plan to grow.
Overall, she had a nice personality and followed up promptly.
