I submitted my application online. It took them about 4 months to get back to me and another 2 months to interview and then hire me. I had a phone screen with a recruiter, a second phone screen with the hiring manager, then an in-person panel interview with the team and a final in-person 1:1 interview the hiring manager. Dealing with HR and the KP recruiter was not an encouraging experience. They were not responsive and their online systems were very old and crufty. For the interview itself, I was expecting more technical questions, given that it was for a research position. Instead, most of the questions were the typical "soft" questions about work preferences. I asked the team and the hiring manager a number of questions to better understand the work environment, but I was given an overly rosy picture that did not match reality.
