Was approached on LinkedIn by an internal recruiter. I had to follow up with the recruiter after speaking with him numerous time. It was nearly like trying to up-manage him to respond or for updates. Once I moved along to next stages he was more responsive and followed up before and after interviews so I found it very hot and cold. Met with CHRO and COO. Both went very well and were lovely people but I felt our values did not align on how an HR team should be run and more modern workplace practices and values. They had a long way to go and I knew part of this would be my role to implement but felt based on their values, it would be an uphill battle. After the interview with COO, the recruiter ghosted me, never to provide an update again, even after 12+ touch points throughout the interview process. Very unprofessional, even after sending a follow up email myself. This just goes to show the management and values of the company weren’t aligned. Advice - stay true to yourself and your values no matter how good an opportunity seems to be.
