Completed online application with a skills test for Teller duties. Received phone call from recruited within 1-2 days to answer more questions and schedule interview with the branch manager. Interviewed with branch manager the next day, approximately 1-1 1/2 hours. the interview was fairly casual, but the common interview questions were asked. Manager asked a lot about sales experience, and ability to meet set goals. Also wanted to understand how I interact with differing personality types and handle stressful customer situations. Received a call from the recruiter the following day with the job offer. Overall a very quick hiring process.

The recruiter did not sound interested throughout the whole interview and asked borderline offensive questions. A little background: I was unemployed for a while due to layoffs. I guess the recruiter did not like the fact that there were gaps in my work history and asked me if I am still unemployed? How would I support myself financially if I weren't employed? What am I trying to get out of being a teller? Is this really appropriate for a phone screening? I got a rejection a week after the phone interview.
