Applied through a recruiter, but went nowhere. Then applied through Keyence. Received a call the following day. Took a physics based assessment. Passed and conducted a WebCam interview. Heard back a few days later and was asked to fly into Chicago to interview. Flew in in the morning and flew out that evening. Interview was about an hour long with a Regional Sales Manager who didn't know any specifics on the branch I was applying for. Gave a Product Demo followed by a sales role-play.
Heard back in less than three business days from a generic computer generated "no-go" email. Don't assume flying to Chicago means they want to give you feedback/communication.
They're driven by sales. The technical side has a little to do with it, but the management/oversight is based on sales and production. Cold-calling, account management, and sales.
