      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 2 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Kid Galaxy (Manchester, NH) nel mese di dic 2015

      Colloquio

It was very casual. Late because the hiring manager works odd hours. My interview was held in the conference room that was filled with toys and packages. It was disorganized and messy. The toys were stacked on the table and chairs except for the 2 chairs for the interviewee and interviewer. The hiring manager talked a lot about how the company (Chinese-owned) and how it is unstructured yet has a lot of leeway. I was there for a little over an hour. I left feeling overwhelmed and slightly turned off with the set up of the room. Not a very good first impression. But I wanted to be open-minded. I was called back to meet the office manager and to take a tour of the office. Wow, It was exactly if not worse than what I imagined. what a disaster. Toys and packages everywhere; on the floor, shelves, desks, boxes of large imported boxes stacked everywhere. Definitely a fire hazard. The office furniture is dated and depressing. I don't understand how anyone can work in such environment. They said that everything could be moved around and cleaned up but it left a pretty bad impression on me. If you want to hire talent, they need to spend time to create a working environment for this person. If they operate like their office space, I can't imagine how the day to day operation would be like. It will have to take someone who is desperate or who is willing to put the effort into changing the place. I hope they find that someone. No talk of compensation or benefits. I was not impressed and although I was not offered the job, it didn't matter to me. I know there will be better companies out there with better work spaces and team environment. It just wasn't for me.

Do you think you can transition from a structured processed environment to a place that isn't that?
