Colloquio
The position was at Kindred Hospital First Hill Seattle. I received a call from Jaushan, a current critical care PA working directly with the director Dr. Alyraba. I don't recall applying to the job directly so I suspect my resume was pulled from a job board website. We briefly discussed my experience and she gave an overview of the position. Starting salary was $150,000 per year, 10 days PTO. Hours are 11 am - 7 pm weekdays with some flexibility on arrival time. Census is high at 25-30 pts a day but they admit to minimal documentation and insist it is manageable. I interviewed on site 2 days later but was asked to call the morning of to remind since "there isn't any admin present to handle scheduling." Once I arrived, the front desk was clearly confused about who I was there to meet and spent 20 mins trying to find the person I spoke with on the phone, who was in a meeting at the time. Finally once I did interview, The providers interrupted me to take a few calls during the interview. I was also told that because I am a new grad the salary expectation is $140k instead, although they knew my qualifications when she reached out to me. I was told to email her in a few days if I want to job, but I didn't feel respected during the interview process so will no be pursuing further. I left with the impression that they were just filling seats.
