The salary I required was clearly stated by my recruiter, but only after I completed two interviews (including an incredibly challenging last stage, in which I put a lot of thought and effort into my presentation. A lot.} I was offered the job on the basis of lowering my salary expectations by almost half. I accepted this, only to be told five days into waiting for my contract, that the job wasn't available anymore.
