The two phone screens that I had with HR and the Hiring Manager both went fine. It was the on-site interview where the interview team really showed a lack of preparation for the interview, leaving it to feel very disorganized and disjointed. It was clear that one of the people interviewing me was reading "what to ask in an interview" questions off of his computer screen while he interviewed me. The fact that no one seemed prepared ahead of time -- no one seemed familiar with my resume or had their questions figured out beforehand -- left a very bad impression for me. The fact that they all asked similar basic interview questions was comical too -- typically, you would divide and conquer by making sure each interviewer asks different questions in the process. They also lacked the common courtesy of giving me a follow-up email or phone call to let me know that I wasn't selected.
