I applied to Kohl's online at snagajob.com on March 4th and got a call this past Sunday (March 18th) from a Kohl's HR person asking if I was still interested in the position and I said yes. She offered me to come in for an interview on Tuesday (today, March 20) at 6pm and told me to bring 4 references and a photo I.D. She did not say that it would be a group interview, and I didn't know if it was going to be one since when I arrived about 10 minutes early, there was no one else waiting back there at Customer Service. But, a woman came out and said "Are you here for an interview?" and I said "yes" and she told me to just wait about ten more minutes and we'd get started. In that 10 minutes, two more applicants arrived. We were led to a room in the back office that they use to Train new employees in. We were told that we needed to fill out paperwork that would take about 20 minutes. It consisted of an application, job history, references, consent to perform a background check, availability, etc. After that she explain that she'd be asking us all the same questions and we'd each get a turn to answer and if we were going to say the same thing as someone else, just repeat it instead of not responding or saying "what they just said." She was very nice and made me feel comfortable during the interview. The interview probably lasted about 20 minutes with about 10 questions or so. At the end she explained they were hiring for part-time and that if we were selected, we'd get a call within a week (after our background checks when through) and she'd let us know when to come in for orientation. If we didn't get hired, we'll receive a letter in the mail. I got a call today (Sunday), which is 5 days after my interview, and got extended a job offer for a Part-time sale associate for Misses, Men's and Junior's departments, which I accepted. I have an orientation on Wednesday and am excited to start the job!
