      Colloquio per HR Manager

      8 gen 2024
      Dipendente anonimo
      Kohler, WI
      Offerta accettata
      Esperienza positiva
      Colloquio difficile

      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura tramite un selezionatore. La procedura ha richiesto 2 mesi. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Kohler Co. (Kohler, WI) nel mese di ago 2020

      Colloquio

Multiple psychological tests, followed by in-person interviews, The process typically takes a long time (months). They negotiate through their recruiters, and use a standardized metric for assigning salaries. The recruiters handle the offer conversation as well.

      Domande di colloquio [1]

      Domanda 1

The in-person interviews were fairly formulaic and only deviated by the interviewer. They place a high value on the outcome of the psychological profiles and will not proceed with the interview if certain metrics are not achieved.

      Colloquio

I spoke with a Recruiter from Kohler over the phone about the job, responsibilities and salary. She told me she would follow up with me in a week, and I never heard back. GHOSTED!

      Domande di colloquio [1]

      Domanda 1

Very basic litmus test questions. You could tell the recruiter was inexperienced and just reading off a script.

      Colloquio per Human Resources Manager

      22 ott 2019

      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Kohler Co. (Huntsville, AL) nel mese di ott 2019

      Colloquio

I was contacted via InMail by a Kohler recruiter on a Thursday to ask if I was interested in discussing an HR Manager role at one of their manufacturing facilities. The recruiter requested my availability for the next week to speak with her. I responded that I was interested in speaking with her and gave the times. She responded with the same message again (I guess she did not realize that she had already sent out the message once) and asked for dates and times of my availability. I responded with detailed dates and times of availability, again. On Friday, the recruiter responded. In her response she ignored my two previous responses to her original inquiries and asked me if I had experience working with unions. I responded that I had experience working with unions - including information of when and where I had worked in union environments. No additional response was received from the recruiter on Friday or the following Monday stating a selected day and time when she would like to speak with me. On Tuesday morning I checked my In Mail messages at 8:30 AM - still no response as to when the recruiter would like to set up an appointment to speak with me. At 9:47 AM my phone rang - the caller ID was blocked, therefore, I let it go to voice mail. I promptly listened to the voice mail - it was the recruiter telling me that she was sorry that I had missed our scheduled 9:30 AM call. She asked me to call her back at my convenience. I logged into my LinkedIn account and I found where she had In Mailed me at 8:55 AM on Tuesday morning (35 minutes before she wanted to meet with me) saying that she would be calling me at 9:30. So she gave me 35 minutes heads up to prepare for an interview and she assumed that I was monitoring my InMail account and waiting for her to message me. Before I could return her call my phone rang again four minutes later at 9:51. While the name was blocked I recognized the telephone number so I answered the call. The recruiter asked me if this was a good time to talk - I said I could. She told me that they were looking for a Change Management professional. I was a little confused because the position I had applied for was an HR Manager position - but I went with it. Did I have any change management experience? I said yes, and proceeded to give her an example using the STAR method to share my example. I asked her if the position was a Change Management position or an HR position. She seemed confused and said she thought it was an HR Management position that focused on Change management because they were currently having severe change management problems in their facility. As a professional there is a distinct difference in job positions between change management and HR management. While change management would be part of an HR position – administration is the driving force of change management and HR is a participant in the Change Management process. I do not think that the recruiter understood the difference between a change management position and an HR management position and she was floundering, confused, and ill-prepared to have an informed conversation. The recruiter then told me that she would share my example with the hiring manager and that if I was going to be moving forward I would be called. Thank you for your time. No opportunity given for me to ask questions or initiate any conversation. Very unprofessional, extremely disorganized interactions both via email and in spoken conversation on the phone. Not a quality experience with this company and recruiter. Quite honestly if this recruiter is an accurate representation of the quality of personnel in this organization I am not interested. Also, if this is a depiction of the "brand" of the organization I am appalled.

      Domanda 1

We currently need someone who is an expert in Change Management. Please give me an example of when you have done Change Management.
