Called to come in with very little notice, the same day. Interviewed with Director of Fabric R&D who was the hiring manager. First she interviewed me in her office and asked questions from my resume. Then she called in her assistant to ask questions. In the hiring managers office her Assistant gave me a test to see if I could fill in an excel spread sheet. They both kept saying how difficult the job was (it wasn't). Interview lasted about 20 minutes in total. Then I was taken to the waiting room so they could discuss if they would make me the offer. When I came back the offer was made to me and I was asked how soon could I start. I said Monday and they asked if I could start now, that day. We settled on the following day (Thursday). On my first day hiring manager told me I was not her first choice but she had no choice but to hire me because the previous person they hired never showed up for her first day.
