      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 3 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso LENA (Boulder, CO) nel mese di dic 2018

      Colloquio

Was initially contacted by a recruiter who asked if I was aware the position was located in Boulder, CO (had spent a paragraph explaining my relocation plan in my initial cover letter which she clearly hadn't bothered to read). Was then sent a list of ten questions that were almost all answered in my cover letter / resume as well as the location question AGAIN - I copied and pasted a lot. I then had a 30 minute phone screen with the recruiter, who seemed to have very little information about the company or the role. Then, the recruiter asked for 3 references, which I provided. Next, an admin assistant at LENA asked for a six page employment application to be completed - asking the same questions and for references AGAIN, and contacted all three of my references before the department manager contacted me to arrange a phone call. The phone call itself was fine - manager seemed pretty into transparency and was nice, but by that point I was so annoyed with the process and lack of respect for my time (and my former colleague's time) that I was a bit relieved to get rejected before final interview rounds. I asked for feedback and didn't hear back.

Thanks very much for highlighting your experience that included some unnecessary/redundant requests. While our hiring process has its unique elements, we certainly intend to be respectful of candidates’ time. It doesn’t seem that we lived up to that standard in this case -- our apologies. We’ve factored your feedback and have implemented some process improvements with the recruiting team.
