      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto un giorno. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso LaSalle Network (Oakbrook Terrace, IL) nel mese di feb 2016

      Colloquio

Applied for a Meeting Planner Position, was called within an hour of submitting my resume. I interviewed with a project manager, she explained that LaSalle Network is a staffing agency and went over types of employment: temp, temp to hire, and direct placement. She asked a few normal interview questions, and then began to tell me about two positions: Corporate Buyer for Aldi, and Admissions Counselor for DeVry. I expressed concern that neither of these positions were hospitality related, and was interested in the Meeting Planner position I initially applied for. She said another Project Manager knew about the Meeting Planner position, and would reach out to me if I was a good fit. (Isn't that why you have someone come in for an interview in the first place?) She then instructed me to fill out a stack of paperwork (Job Application for LaSalle Network, tax paperwork in case I did a temp-to-hire) and told me another project manager would be in to talk to me about additional jobs. She came in and had no additional jobs to discuss, and asked If I had any other questions. I asked again about the Meeting Planner Position I initially applied for, and she said that was under a different project manager and that she would be in touch if it was a good fit.

Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry if our recruiters weren't clear in their explanation of how we operate. As a staffing firm, our goal is to understand the motivators, goals and skills of the candidates we meet, while working with our clients to place the best people with the skills and culture fit to succeed in their environment. Sometimes that means that the role you applied for online is the exact right position for you, other times, it means we are able to work together to find something that is a really great match. Again, I apologize this was not clearly explained and hope that this insight is helpful context to your conversation with our recruiters.
