The interview process was definitely a bit rushed on their end and included me spending at least 8 hours on zoom over the course of a week. While I understand this would be done to keep costs down (can't fly people out for free) it would be better to bring candidates that you are very interested in out to the site as a show of your interest in the hire and to give them a better feel for the locale and the working environment. I did appreciate that the large majority of the interviewing was handled by the hiring manager rather than HR so that there was a lot less communication through a 3rd party. My offer was generous but ultimately I decided to turn it down as the project I was particularly interested in working on was not what my primary focus would be.
