I spent time interviewing with a director-level person for a recruiting position. Instead of talking about the position I was interested in, I was told that there was a need for a different type of position that might be a better fit. I was so excited to have an interaction with someone with a human connection. I was told back in November that I would get some sort of update in December and that the job would most likely be available in January 2018. I followed-up about 4 times and I never heard a word. I ended up having a friend of mine show me a post on LinkedIn of someone else (internally) who was hired for the position we were discussing. Needless to say I have lost all faith in the recruiting industry. It would have been a better experience if she would have taken 2 minutes of her time to contact me and let me know they had hired someone else.

Quick and easy. No issues with the managers. Very conversational. Went over goals and expectations as well as general questions. Had everything wrapped up in a few weeks. Enjoyed the conversation.

A recruiting coordinator located in California set up the interview process for me to meet with the Bellevue team. They wanted me to come in the next day during business hours - not really possible as I work full time. Shouldn't have wasted my time interviewing with this company. It was one of the poorest interview experiences I've ever had. The primary person who was supposed to conduct the interview was too busy with a call to come in to the interview. Instead, two other team members spoke with me informally. I didn't realize we were interviewing - thought we were waiting for the lead guy. He finally came in, stated they value individuality and creativity, and then stated he prefers people who don't even have recruiting experience so he can "mold" them to be what he wants. Kept glancing at his watch as I responded to final questions. Rude, awkward, disingenuous, and a waste of time. I'm sure the other team members are nice, but hard pass on a supervisor who shows up with that kind of interpersonal style. Never heard from the team or the recruiting coordinator again, not even for a "thanks, but no thanks."

General questions about what I recruit for. "What do you think is the most important part of recruiting?"
