I applied through my school's job board and got an email from one of the engineers at LLNL to schedule a 30-minute phone interview. The interview was mostly informal. We discussed about my projects and research experience on my resume, and I had the opportunity to ask a couple of questions about LLNL. Two weeks later, I got an email telling me they won't have a project ready on time so they couldn't give me an offer.

Had one interview consisting of about 1 hour. The interview consisted of three members on the team split in half between behavioral questions and technical questions. At the end of the interview, they went over some logistics about the program.

It was cool. Quite relaxed. They contacted me after my application, asking to interview me at a particular date. I said yes and it went on. The interview took over webex, had to log in 15 minutes beforehand.
