Initial call went by very quickly. Phone interviewer seemed knowledgable, but a recent hire himself. His role was still being defined. The questions were focused on the general product, and he did most of the talking. I came in for an on-site, and the team was very disorganized. The interview started late, random people were pulled in. An engineering head was given the task of giving me a business case. I literally got to watch the first interviewer hand this role to the second interviewer. When I asked for clarifications and specifics, he couldn't answer, and instead went on tangents. No follow up from anyone at the company post the interview. I believe in the product, but the team feels like a group of people from a third-tier state school that lucked out some of their product decisions thus far. Primed to explode unless real management is installed.

I had a phone interview with the hiring manager, which lasted about half an hour, then I was asked to come in for an in person interview. I met with four people. They couldn't have been nicer. Everything about the interview was conversational. I never felt like I was put on the spot. There were no questions to test my logic. They seemed to be more concerned with what kind of person I am, which is 1) most important, and 2) they are super lovely people. When people talk about meeting "The One", they say, "You just know." That's how this interview was.
