I had an initial 30m screening call and then had to complete a cognitive assessment afterwards, this was then followed by a more thorough 45m competency interview, both of these were a virtual video call. The final stage was an onsite interview where I was given a task beforehand which I had to complete and then present, which required a good amount of preparation.

The first interview I had was with the recruiter. She was friendly but seemed rushed. After the recruiter interview I was sent a cognitive test and after that I was scheduled for an interview with the hiring manager, who seemed very distracted and like he was not paying attention to my answers. During the interview the hiring manager explained that my experience was exactly what he was looking for so I felt good after the interview. I interviewed on April 3 and was basically ghosted until I sent a follow-up email to the recruiter. The next morning I received a generic rejection email, which didn't make sense to me. How'd we go from "this is exactly what I'm looking for" to "we're not proceeding with your application"? During the interview I demonstrated my expertise (10+ years) and gave really good concrete examples of my prior work and experience. Lendable's website states that during the interview process you'll receive communication from the talent acquisition specialist (recruiter) and will receive feedback throughout the process. All of that is not true. I was really excited about Lendable and believe my experience is a great fit and just wish I caught the hiring manager on a better day. At one point he stopped mid-sentence and said, "Sorry, I'm getting distracted by how beautiful it is outside." How unfortunate.

The process was clear and well explained, largely matching what is on their careers website! I want to commend Lendable for trying to find the best role for me, and being flexible as I thought through my priorities.
1) Recruiter Screening
Michela explained the role, and answered my questions about the company. She asked about my experience, drilling into some core EM competencies.
2) Hiring Manager Interview
Vahid (VP Engineering) explained the tech team organisation in more detail, then asked questions about my technical, people and delivery experience. This was more a screening stage, rather than deep diving on each area.
3) Technical Experience Interview
James and Stephen (Solution Architects) asked about my experience as an IC, and how I had contributed technically to different projects. Also some questions on technical best practices
I understand there was a final stage focusing on People Management and Delivery, but I withdrew from the process before this stage.
