Random. I was supposed to be talking to the hiring manager informally directly to get a feel for my level of interest, but he pulled in "his guy" who was the most pompous and arrogant person I've ever interviewed with in 20 years. He was clearly posturing his knowledge back to the hiring manager as I turned over areas he poorly communicated to management such as AWS Lambdas. This individual has apparently been feeding his management team a line of goods.
