I applied online through LinkedIn. I received an invite to have a phone call with the HR recruiter, who was very professional and asked relevant questions about my background including how I thought it matched the job requirement. The screening call with the recruiter went well and arranged a Teams call with the hiring Manager. The hiring Manager first highlighted what the role was and how others he had interviewed weren't what he was looking for to fill the role. I was asked to discuss my previous consultancy experiences and engagements, His feedback was that, I wasn't what he was looking for because I didn't mention my prior engagements involved discussions with CTOs and CEOs, despite my engagements with multiple global C level execs. Also, he wanted someone he could send overseas the following week of employment without support because 'he doesn't have the time'. He said he will feedback to the HR recruiter, But, I never received a formal rejection email.
I was very disappointed that a mid level Manager in a huge organisation like Lenovo would not be willing to support a new hire through the statutory induction period that I'm sure is set within the HR recruitment onboarding framework and policy.

It was fairly straight forward. It was asking about pervious experiences working in this role. It was also done by the director of the department. The interview was remote via teams.
