This process is no longer followed. When I applied in early 2016 there was a telephone quick overview. There were two in-person interviews with different level Managers of the Department. Then there was an in depth homework assignment with respect to advising a client how market their hotel on Facebook and on their website. It was a lot of work, but relevant>
However, this is no longer done for some reason. Also, for a job that is all about excellent phone manner, there was no testing of how the individual deals with a potential customer on the phone. Therefore, when I got hired, I found a number of people who had a less than desirable phone manner and actually hated being on the phone with customers.
I think this has since been changed, but the homework assignment is no longer given.
