      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura tramite segnalazione di un dipendente. La procedura ha richiesto 2 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Levi Strauss (San Francisco, CA) nel mese di set 2018

      Colloquio

I applied through a referral. I met with two recruiters, and we discussed some positions but I was not submitted – this was just a first meeting to establish a relationship. Two weeks later, one of the two I met with contacted me to say she had submitted me for a role and that the hiring manager would like to set up an interview. It was different from any of the jobs we discussed in person, but luckily it was aligned with what I was looking for based on the job description she sent. I still wanted to have a briefing with her based on her knowledge of the position, tips, to be best prepared. I emailed her requesting this and she didn't respond after 3 days and finally the day before, she sent me an email asking me what times I was available. Her email response time was pretty long and she finally said she could do 4:30, the day before. There are other details of this exchange that I will leave out, but her response style and delay was not helpful in scheduling this call, especially given her availability and the time crunch. At 4:50 she finally called and said she had sent an email saying she would be late (I never did receive this email). we chatted, confirmed my arrival time, and she said she'd come and get me from the lobby (she was listed as my contact on the interview itinerary) and take me to a room to receive the first interview call. The next day, On the day of the interview panel, she didn't show up to collect me from the lobby. I called her cellphone, desk phone, and emailed her. No response. Finally the first interviewer called me as scheduled (first interviewer was a phone call vs other two in person), and I was still in the lobby waiting to be taken to a room (which the recruiter had told me she would do, providing she had shown up). I mentioned to him that I was a little frazzled because she hadn't shown up, and he mentioned it was a pattern with this particular recruiter lately and he wasn't surprised. I recovered and we continued. I then get multiple calls from the recruiter coming through while I;m on the call. Very distracting, especially because she (purportedly) knew I'd have an interview at that time. Interviewer one helped me connect with the next person, who I asked "what is going on??" ie why is this such a mess. She shared with me some details consistent with flakiness, no showing, etc. Met the rest of the panel, left. Then I checked my phone and I had a text from recruiter saying she was downstaris looking for me for my "10am interview" (it was scheduled for 9am, something we had confirmed on the phone the previous day). I replied that I'd managed to find the interviewers myself, to which she responded , "so glad you connected! Can't wait to hear about the interviews". No acknowledgement of her no show, my emails, calls, nothing. On top of this, the people who interviewed me (i.e. my colleagues) called me to ask me what I wanted in compensation, vs finding this out from the recruiter. This is awkward because (1) your colleagues shouldn't know this info, particulary if they are in similar roles, which one of them was, but (2) it also speaks to the fact that they probably didn't want to rely on this information from the recruiter and it was quicker to get to the source rather than try and ask their unreliable recruiter colleague I emailed her to check back, no follow up. So not only did she ghost, but she delivered a pretty bad candidate experience and didn't even admit to her very obvious mistakes. Also, the fact that other people confirmed it during the interview process makes her look even (fittingly) worse.

Thank you for your post. Our recruiting team’s mission at Levi Strauss & Co. is to ensure that everyone that comes into contact with our talent brand has an incredibly positive experience, irrespective of the outcome. It’s clear from your feedback that in this instance we fell short of that, and I am very sorry that you had such a negative experience with us. We strive to make every touchpoint with our candidates as meaningful as possible, and in this case we did not deliver. Your feedback has been key for us. In particular, it’s highlighted a larger training need not only for the recruiter assigned to your job requisition, but for the LS&Co Talent Acquisition team as a whole. We are taking specific steps to address this situation with the entire team beginning this week. On behalf of the entire Talent Acquisition team here at Levi Strauss & Co., please accept my apologies for this experience, and thank you again for providing the feedback. We are always very open to hearing how we can improve the way we work and interact with candidates, and this feedback provides an important learning opportunity for us. We appreciate your candor and for taking the time as both a candidate and to give us this direct insight. Thank you again James Hudson Director, Talent Acquisition
