The phone screening lasted approximately 15 minutes -- the screener explained the process as: ( paraphrased ) "I'll do the phone screenings and then forward the applications I think would be a good fit to the hiring manager. The hiring manager will select the candidates for the next round of interviews." A week later, received rejection letter that they have "decided to take this position in a different direction."
