Interviewed for an experienced underwriting position. Had a 30 minute call with the recruiter and a 60 minute call with the hiring manager. Received an offer but declined it.
The salary range listed for the position online was not accurate. Liberty’s offer was at the 30th percentile of the range. The offer needed to be in the 80th percentile for me accept it.
Had I known that Liberty would not meet the upper end of the salary range, I would not have applied.
When I factored in the loss of perks in my current role along with a significant reduction in employer retirement contributions, Liberty’s offer was actually less than my current compensation package.

Good and not super challenging. Team is nice. Members are older. Company is really large and sometimes can feel like you are an assembly operator. Overall good company. Thank you

Consisted of two interviews, The first one was a phone call and the second was over zoom with two individuals who worked in underwriting. The first phone call was fairly easy they asked simple questions, the second interview was a little bit longer and asked more detailed questions.

Easy questions about sales experience, customer service, just to see your peopel skills. its a very heavy negotiation and communication job so it makes sense. The team was very nice and attentive
