I went to a hiring event at a central location. The event started at 10 am promptly after filling out the application I was interviewed. First by one manager and again by another. I absolutely loved my second interviewer he was nice and very straight forward. He used unusual tactics and still made the prospect comfortable. Each question was relevant he thoroughly explained the position.

I was asked the basic questions. However, my first and favorite question was what is your favorite book and I thought that was great. It relaxed me and I wasn't so nervous. By the way my answer was, "The Fred Factor". it happened to be the book I picked up and read that day and I genuinely enjoyed it.

HR phone call, 10 to 15 minute screen, followed by an area manager face to face interview usually about 10 minutes. Sometimes a second interview. Results will probably take a while.

I had been an associate manager for years prior to my interview for store manager. Area manager and I were already familiar and he was very warm, and made me feel very comfortable throughout the entire process, even when asking me more serious questions.
