There was an initial round over a video call in which they mentioned that they will get back with the feedback. I never heard back from them after the call.

tl;dr - Very unfriendly interviewers and never heard back from them after the final stage, which is just unprofessional.
The interview process started off with an informal chat on the phone with one of the engineers. It was a friendly conversation, and he explained what the company does in a much clearer way than I could get from the website. The conversation piqued my interest in the company.
Following the call I was sent a technical task to complete.
Having completed the technical task, I was invited in for a series of face-to-face interviews (one of which was a buddy-coding task).
This is when it started to go wrong.
I was greeted by two engineers who introduced themselves by name but not by role. One of them turned out to be the CTO. I still don't know the role of the other guy, but he sounded like an American. They began to interrogate me about different technical concepts - this is fine I suppose, as that is what an interview is supposed to be. However, I couldn't help but feel that they were being incredibly aggressive and unfriendly. The American guy in particularly had a strong sense of superiority and smugness that immediately put me off ever working for the company. There was zero sense that the interviewers wanted me to succeed in the interview.
After a relatively unpleasant first-stage face-to-face, I met two more engineers. They were much friendlier than the first two. It was much more like the average tech interview.
The buddy coding exercise was to write a fix for a real bug that the tech team needed to fix. The advantage of this is that it gave a good insight into the kind of work that they do - however, the disadvantage was that it was incredibly messy. My buddy coding partner's environment was not set up properly for the task, and it was quite difficult to get a decent amount of context for the task in such a short space of time. In the end it went alright, and I think we enjoyed working together.
