Attended the f2f Interview the HR was very responsive and made comfortable until i reach the concerned panel, The initial technical round was with the project Lead and an associate, They asked questions related to my experience and what they are looking for in my technology and all the relevant questions answered and i hope they made a conclusion that i am a close fit to the role. The second round was with the QA / Delivery Manager where his initial questions were basic and strangely he started asking questions on other technologies which i had minimal knowledge as i have enough experience on my technology and application, Manager expects if you have java work experience he questions on ruby, shell, python work experience??. I hope if a resource is fit for the present open position why you need to drill on other technologies. Does Manager know that there can be a cross skill sessions if the current project ends and resource can be pushed to other projects? Does manager here can anticipate the upcoming projects resource needs or existing resources to skill up to upcoming projects? Resources with three to four years work experience can have experience in only couple of areas of his technology asking questions on other technologies or having other intentions makes a resource feel unprofessional.
