      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura tramite un selezionatore. La procedura ha richiesto 3 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso LiquidSpace (Remote, OR) nel mese di dic 2018

      Colloquio

I had a total of 4 interviews with this company spanning about 3 weeks. The first was with a recruiter. The recruiter performed a phone interview for about 15 minutes in where I gave my elevator pitch among a few other things. This was just the initial screening. A 60-minute video conference call was then scheduled. The second video conference call interview had multiple questions about my experience, and it went well enough to get to the third interview. There were questions about company fit and how my experience correlated with the available position. The third interview was an hour long video conference call. There were several questions asked prior to the interview by e-mail. It took me a couple of hours to thoughtfully and thoroughly answer those questions. I wrote a total of 9 pages to answer the questions. After the third interview I had a fourth and final video conference interview . We went over my experience more and was able to get to know the company a bit more. After the 4th interview I had a positive view of the company. I was told I would receive a response the following Monday after the interview. I did not. so I reached out and was told that I would know either way by the end of the week. I did not hear back from this company until 6 weeks later declining the offer. Part of the reasoning stated in the e-mail was that I was not hired due to the fact I did not continue to follow up with him after he told me he would get back to me. After 4 interviews and a couple of hours of questions the expectation from the company was that I would follow up with them continuously to prove I was a viable candidate. The company clearly did not feel they should follow up in a professional and timely manner. I wanted to share my experience as there are so many great opportunities out there and sometimes companies do not respect people in general. To me the interview process is a big part in how the company treats their employees. Hopefully this review will allow the company to take a deeper look in how they treat people and grow their start up.
