      Colloquio

Extremely Disheartening Experience – Be Cautious (Offer Rescinded) I had the opportunity to interview with LiveIntent twice, and my experience was nothing short of traumatic. The first time, I reached the final (fourth) round but was ultimately rejected. A couple of months later, the recruiter reached out to me again, stating the company was interested in interviewing me for a different position. I was excited about the opportunity and went through another four rounds of interviews. After passing all rounds, I was extended an offer. I even offered to visit the office in person, even though all interviews had been remote. Given that the job requires some in-office presence, I thought visiting would show my enthusiasm and commitment to the company. I received the written offer in DocuSign the afternoon after I visited the office, where I had also met with a new manager whom I hadn’t interviewed with due to their recent start at the company. After reviewing the offer thoroughly (as anyone would), I had some follow-up questions and asked for clarification on a few details. I was respectful, professional, and showed genuine enthusiasm throughout. After some email exchanges, the recruiter contacted me outside of business hours around 6:30 PM, stating that they felt I "had concerns about the offer" and didn’t seem excited. I was incredibly confused because I had merely asked questions and negotiated like any other professional would. I immediately called the recruiter to clarify, and they promised to follow up. The very next morning, at 7:30 AM, I received an email saying the team had decided to withdraw the offer, and it was "a firm no." This experience has been deeply upsetting and disheartening. Not only did they lead me on for months, but the way I was treated was dismissive and unprofessional. I feel I was unfairly accused of lacking excitement for the role when, in fact, I was only doing what any candidate would do: ensuring the offer met my expectations and asking questions to make an informed decision. This experience has left me with lasting emotional impact, and I would advise any prospective candidate to carefully consider this company's treatment of potential employees. If they can treat me this way before I even became an employee, I can only imagine how they would treat their actual staff. I truly regret going through this process, and it has left me with a lingering sense of distrust. I know this situation was not my fault—I was professional, respectful, and committed—but unfortunately, my effort was not appreciated, and I feel like my time was taken for granted.
