This interview took place around the end of May. Tbh for this interview itself, it was very well, the manager for the team was very communicative with me and during the interview itself, although it was just set up for an hour, we communicated for about an hour and forty and felt like we could’ve went even further but I decided to wrap it for him, it was a great interview and the manager even told me to expect the offer letter soon and if not for this specific role, then atleast he’ll reach out for essentially the same job at different times. Well everything went well so when I didn’t get a response for about 2 weeks I was confused, then I saw all jobs in this location, even ones where I applied for something else at the same location just cancel, I reached out to the manager of the team and his response essentially sums up what happened
“Thank you for reaching out. Due to unexpected internal circumstances regarding staffing, I was forced to put this requisition on hold until further notice. I don’t expect to have an update on that decision for at least another 2 weeks.
You will most likely receive a notification that you are no longer considered for the position. If I am given the “green-light” to move forward again on external hiring, I will be reaching out to you with a new requisition number to see if you still have interest. I apologize for the inconvenience as I did not expect to be told to put a pause on hiring while interviewing.
I thought you did very well in your interview and have a note in with my recruiter to referral for other open positions as well.”
So I did end up getting a referral for another job, this one I did see have a salary way lower than past ones but I figured since this would be my entry job, it couldn’t hurt to have something but then even that one got canceled as well. And so I learned the lesson which is wasted time at Lockheed
