Phone interview followed by an in person with DO and possible GM. Be prepared to talk about anything and everything on your resume, work history, management style... They are looking for personality and confidence as well as knowledge of the industry. They will ask about your goals and ambitions, if you can relocate, ask about your family and home life. There will also be an aptitude test in between the phone interview and in person one.

First had a phone interview with the Talent Acquisition Manager, then was set up with an interview with the Director of Operations for the Area. Met with him the next day, he was a really nice guy, in the end he said he had more "qualified" candidates he had interviewed and tried to pawn an hourly position on me. I have 20 years in the business and have worked in multi million dollar companies for a long time. Received an email 5 days later saying they weren't offering me the position. I guess they would rather take a "qualified" person (whatever that means) than someone with experience. Not saying the other person can't do the job but whatever.

If you are not working with a recruiter then you will need to search for jobs at Darden in your area on the Darden website. Apply for the job you are interested in then they will contact you.The first step is an online interview with the talent acquisition manager. If you do well on that interview then you will be passed along to the area director for a second interview. There will be a background check required at this time.

HR scheduled a Skype interview and I thought it didn't go well. The next day Director of Operations called to schedule a interview. Interviewed with him that next week. Overall a great experience during the interview. Very open friendly person made me comfortable. At the end of the interview I felt like we connected so well like we were friends. He told me he wanted to move forward. Day later HR sent me background check and application form it takes between 3-5 business days but for me it took 4 days. Was offered position and took drug test and start in 2 weeks. Overall excited and can't wait to start between talking to HR and DO they make u want to work there.
