After a recommendation and a previous open interview with 2 managers, I have applied for this position (as they mentioned to me that it will be open soon and they would like to see me applying for this role). I need to mention they asked no-go questions like "looking at your age, do you plan to have kids?"... When the position went online, I applied. I even texted the responsible manager to reconnect and see if they received my application. The answer was that they already have someone for this role and in case they will not fill this position, he will reach out to me. Few weeks after that, I got an automatic, generic (!) email, not even a personal feedback, that the position is filled. Needless to say - the position is still online after my rejection email, so either they have a huge chaos going on or someone is really incompetent - or both. Unfortunately, applying at Lonza was a loss of time for me and I cannot recommend it to anyone unless you are sure that the manager pushes you into the company.
