Had two phone interviews for a rather entry level copywriter position. Spent a good two hours researching Lucid before each one and aced both - making me think I was a shoe in for an in-person. Was sent a writing exam, where I attached a piece of brand-relevant work from my portfolio, then wrote a whopping 1300-word article on Using Kaizen to Improve Business Practices with Lucidchart software as a backbone for diagramming inefficiencies. Was emailed three days after turning in the writing exam with s boilerplate response that I didn't get the position. All told, I probably spent 14 hours + on all of the application materials, interview research, and writing exam materials! That's with a demanding full-time gig during the day. In all, I submitted a resume + cover letter + application + LinkedIn profile + online portfolio + college GPA + branded writing piece + long-form article. Lucid obviously doesn't care about applicant's free time and treats them like expendable idiots, hoping they'll jump through hoops of fire to get the job. Everyone seems like a newb here (everyone is literally a brand new hire with no experience at their job). Stay Away!
