Colloquio
Initial phone interview with a recruiter, then a sales test online, followed by an interesting in person panel interview. Asked to create a PowerPoint titled Why CenturyLink and sell them on their products. Got to the interview and had to call in and get passed the gate keeper, then proceed to pitch them via the PowerPoint. I was stretched quite a bit but it went well and the team played their roles well so they kept me on my toes.

It's a long and misleading process altogether. They use misleading titles that you'll interview for that you won't understand. For example, a "Senior Commercial Account Executive" is actually an entry level role for someone with little to no sales experience. There's nothing Senior about it.

I applied online which included an online assessment. After that, I was contacted for a phone interview. The phone interview was extremely easy. The questions where more of a checklist of the items listed on my resume. In other words,"you are who you say you are and you did what you said you did." At the end of the phone interview they set up a one on one in person interview with one of the managers in the division. I interviewed with 2 different managers before I ultimately interviewed with the manager I would work with. I was offered a position on my finial interview conditional to passing a drug test. My salary was negotiated with HR not my manager which is different than any other position that I have been offered.

The hardest part of the interview was the second manager who purposely turned his back on me and asked me questions. He as gauging my ability to "sell" without seeing his facial expressions. Great technique if you are interviewing for an inside sales position.
