The interview consisted of three parts:
1. 90 minute coding assessment through HackerRank
2. 20 minute phone interview.
3. ~2 hour on site interview
As someone who doesn't come from an academic CS background, the coding assessment was pretty challenging given the time constraints as the questions were decidedly oriented towards data structures/algorithms. That said, they're not out of range for self taught coders or bootcamp grads if you have at least some familiarity with those concepts.
In terms of person to person interactions I have nothing but good things to say. The recruiter I worked with was enthusiastic and responsive to my questions, and the process moved at a very reasonable rate (which is a lot to ask of some companies!). The interviewers I spoke to were thorough but not at all intimidating. As a very 'green' programmer I think that they selected fair questions for my level and really just wanted to observe my thought processes rather than demanding a canonical, optimized solution in flawless x86.

Some simple algorithmic questions were posed for white boarding in a language of your choice (pseudocode was acceptable in some places). I was also asked to write a test suite for the algorithms and explain why I would select those cases. Afterward I was asked about any trade offs I may have made or if I could reduce the space complexity etc. They did point out some minor errors (<= vs <) but it wasn't like a 'gotcha.'

Awful experience, applied through referral. Got a mail in a few days saying my skills are a match for the position. Recruiter wants to talk to me. Researched and studied about the company. Recruiter says they are not hiring for this position. Only locals to San Diego were considered. Could have said this in the mail itself. A 4-min chat with recruiter explaining to me the process and nothing else. Wasted few hours to get nothing out of them. Poor communication from their end.

Got online assessment after applying, before talking to HR. Solved assignment, scheduled talk with HR. HR totally ghosted me, never responded to emails even. Got rejection email after a few months. Very unprofessional, avoid these guys

Colloquio
There were two stages. The first stage was a phone interview and a 1 hour coding challenge with two problems to solve. Then the second stage was a white boarding challenge with also two coding challenges. During the session we also got to chat and get to know some of the other software engineers in the company. The second stage also included meeting with some of the higher ups where they basically talk about what it's like to work at lytx.
